Registration for the state contest is FREE and is now open for students. However, only those students who are selected to advance through their district contests will be permitted to register.

*Please note that Carroll County students have a separate registration deadline and form that can be found by visiting this website.*

Maryland History Day 2017 Registration Form (please review registration packet before registering)

State contest registration will close on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 11:59pm. If you have not submitted your registration by the deadline, you will not be able to participate in the competition.

Papers and Websites must be completed and submitted by the March 28th deadline. Websites are to be submitted through the below form. Papers must be submitted to marylandhistorydaycontest@gmail.com. Please send the paper and the annotated bibliography as one document (PDF or Word). In the body of the email, please include your name, the name of your school, and the name of your teacher. No further changes will be permitted.

Documentaries must be submitted by April 19, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. via the instructions on http://bit.ly/mhd-documentary-submission. No further changes will be permitted.

Students will receive their competition schedule in mid- to late April 2017. Please check back here in April for the complete schedule, as well as other important information regarding the state contest.
