St. Mary’s County Library brings to you an Asynchronous Virtual Event.

See if your puzzle solving skills are sharp enough to escape the Korean island of Jeju. Journey through Jeju island history with Young-sook and Mi-ja, two of the strong and respected deep-sea diving women, known as haenyeo. Wind your way through the perils of the ocean, the lives of the haenyeo, the Japanese colonization leading up to WWII, and an island wide tragedy that was covered up by law for almost 50 years. Try out this virtual escape room that features the characters and story line from the One Maryland One Book, The Island of Sea Women by Lisa See.
