Latino Racial Justice Circle (LRJC) and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) will hold a series of community dialogues on religion, race and immigration at three churches in northeast Baltimore. In these conversations, participants will share personal stories, feelings, and thoughts about religion, race, and immigration; discuss commonalities and differences between immigrants and native-born; develop visions for how participants and their faith communities should cope with immigration and racism; and deliberate on actions that participants can take to realize those visions. The goal of the program is to promote mutual understanding and collaboration between immigrants and people born in the United States. Registration is free but required. Participants must attend all three dialogue sessions (May 6, 13, and 20).
