Out of an abundance of caution, Maryland Humanities has decided to convert our traditionally in-person Maryland History Day state contest to a digital contest this year. We also will push the date of the contest back to allow more time for school districts to make plans. The registration deadline for the state contest is now April 15.
After months of research on a topic under the theme, “Breaking Barriers in History,” Maryland students will present their projects to judges at the state competition. Winners will go on to the National History Day contest in June. Interested in volunteering? More info here.
