We’re excited to officially kick off the 2026 One Maryland One Book (OMOB) programming season and author tour with a virtual event featuring Lawrence Burney, author of this year’s title No Sense in Wishing.

Burney will be in discussion with Maryland Humanities about what inspired him to write the book, the role of cultural criticism, and what he hopes readers can keep in mind as they join in the OMOB experience this fall.
