Nause-Waiwash: Past, Present & Future

Chief Donna Wolf Mother Abbott, the first Female Chief of the Nause-Waiwash Band of Indians, presents a talk about the past, present, and future of the Nause-Waiwash.

Starting with the arrival of European settlers in what is now known as Dorchester County, Maryland, this talk will cover how the reservation was established and abolished, how the remnants of the Native community survived, and how the Nause-Waiwash Band of Indians are working to preserve their history and move forward.
