COVID-19

Maryland Humanities believes that public health and safety are top priorities.

We continue to monitor federal, state, and local guidance on COVID-19. The health and peace of mind of our staff, board, partners, grantees, and program participants is of paramount importance. For now, most Maryland Humanities activities are happening digitally or virtually. Some partners are offering in-person programming on an occasional basis.

Our Events calendar continues to be updated with the most current information. We recommend that you periodically visit us for the latest information on the status of program and grant-supported events as well as remote work hours for staff.

We ask our partners and grantees who host activities and events to monitor the situation in your own communities, follow Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Maryland Department of Health recommendations, use your discretion in determining if events will be rescheduled or cancelled, and keep our staff informed of your decisions.

Direct any questions or feedback to Maryland Humanities staff via email, as all phone lines, including our main number, now go directly to voicemail. Our Baltimore office is closed to visitors, and most staff continue to work remotely, typically 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Monday–Friday.

Thank you for your continued support. Be safe.
